FAQ
Can I shop secondhand during the challenge? What about clothing swaps?
The main goal of this challenge is get us thinking about how clothing much we’re consuming — be it secondhand or new. Ideally, you would press pause on all clothes shopping for month and see how that feels. Was it easy? Difficult? Unbearable?!
That said, for the purposes of the challenge, secondhand shopping would be our first choice after no shopping, since it diverts clothing from the textiles waste stream. Before you shop, consider SWAPPING or BORROWING clothes from friends. Those are both great options, and highly encouraged during the challenge.
